Sen. Marty Harbin of the 16th District has been recognized as a 29-year member of the National Federation of Independent Business, Georgia’s leading small-business association. Sen. Harbin, who owns Harbin Insurance Agency in Tyrone, has been a member of NFIB since 1988.
“Small business is the engine that drives Georgia’s economy, and, as a small-business owner, Harbin understands that,” said Nathan Humphrey, state director of NFIB. “It’s refreshing to have small-business owners serving in the legislature that understand the issues affecting them, their employees, and their families.”
While serving in the legislature, Sen. Harbin has earned a 100-percent NFIB voting record, supporting the small-business community by opposing burdensome rules and regulations and supporting legislation that makes it easier for small-business owners to expand and create jobs.
“On behalf of our small-business members, I want to thank Sen. Harbin for everything he has done in the General Assembly for Georgia’s small businesses and for being a member of NFIB,” Humphrey said.
