U.S. Rep. Drew Ferguson (3rd District) met today with small business owners from across the state as part of NFIB’s Virtual Fly-In.
Ordinarily, NFIB members gather in Washington, D.C., each summer to learn more about the issues affecting America’s small businesses and meet with lawmakers and their staffs on Capitol Hill, but because of concerns over the pandemic, this year’s event was held online.
Representative Ferguson discussed a number of critical issues including rural broadband, federal mandates, and capital gains and other taxes. He also commended NFIB for its commitment to helping its members own, operate, and grow their small businesses. “I appreciate the fact that you stay laser-focused on those issues and you’re not drifting off into other issues like a lot of other organizations do. Thank you for standing for small business. It’s really important, and I will be there with you.”
NFIB State Director Nathan Humphrey said, “Our members really appreciate Congressman Ferguson for making time to connect with our members and discuss the issues that really matter to them. He understands just how important Main Street businesses are to the economy, and he’s shown us time and again that he stands with Georgia’s job creators.”
