Hall County State Legislators Rep. Lee Hawkins (District 29) and Senator Butch Miller (District 49) have been recognized as members of the National Federation of Independent Business, Georgia’s leading small-business association, and for their work under the Gold Dome on behalf of Georgia’s businesses.
“Small business is the engine that drives Georgia’s economy, and as small-business owners, Rep. Hawkins and Sen. Miller understand the issues impacting business owners,” said Nathan Humphrey, state director of NFIB.
“It’s one thing for small-business owners to speak up about the issues affecting them, their employees, and their families, but Rep. Hawkins and Sen. Miller are trying to change things from the inside.”
During their time serving in the Legislature, Rep. Hawkins and Sen. Miller have both earned a 100-percent NFIB voting record, supporting the small-business community by opposing burdensome rules and regulations and supporting legislation that makes it easier for small-business owners to expand and create jobs.
“On behalf of our small-business members, I want to thank Rep. Hawkins and Sen. Miller for standing with Georgia’s small businesses in the General Assembly and for being members of NFIB.”
