Rubio, Mast, Waltz Join NFIB FL Members for Virtual Fly-In

Date: August 19, 2020

NFIB members from throughout the state connected with their members of Congress this week as part of NFIB’s first Virtual Fly-In.

Ordinarily, NFIB members gather in Washington, D.C., to learn more about the issues affecting America’s small businesses and to visit lawmakers and their staffs on Capitol Hill, but because of concerns over the novel coronavirus, this year’s event was held online.

NFIB members from Florida logged in this week to hear from Sen. Marco Rubio and visit with Reps. Brian Mast and Michael Waltz.

“We had great discussions with Representatives Mast and Waltz about a host of issues including tax relief and COVID-19 liability protection,” NFIB State Executive Director Bill Herrle said. “It was a good opportunity for our Florida members to hear first-hand what’s happening in Congress and to let the voice of small business be heard.”
