NFIB to Co-Host Forum on FL Data Privacy Legislation

Date: August 03, 2021

NFIB is co-hosting the 2021 Florida Business Forum on the impact of data privacy legislation on the business community.

The forum will be 1-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Lowes Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando.

An analysis of Florida’s proposed Privacy Protection Act shows that small businesses would probably face disproportionately high compliance costs compared with larger enterprises and lead to costly litigation.

Other co-hosts include the Associated Industries of Florida, the Florida Credit Union Association, the Florida Bankers Association, the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Insurance Council, Florida Internet & Television, the Florida Justice Reform Institute, the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, the Florida Retail Federation and Florida TaxWatch.
