NFIB Statement on House Bill 1 and Senate Bill 2

Date: November 12, 2021

NFIB State Executive Director Bill Herrle released the following statement today concerning House Bill 1 and Senate Bill 2, legislation concerning possible COVID-19 vaccine mandates:

“Our members appreciate Gov. Ron DeSantis pushing back against the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for businesses with 100 or more employees. NFIB is challenging the federal mandate in court.

“In regards to House Bill 1 and Senate Bill 2, we are asking the Florida Legislature to provide businesses with a clear-cut definition of what constitutes a business vaccine mandate. We greatly appreciate the Legislature avoiding litigation as a means of enforcement.”
