SMALL BUSINESS APPLAUDS POWER PLANT PROPOSAL

The
following comment may be attributed to NFIB Rhode Island State Director, Bill
Vernon in response to this morning’s press conference regarding the proposal to
build a gas-fired power plant in Burrillville:

“Small business in Rhode Island has been struggling
with energy costs for years. Today’s proposal will provide Rhode Island businesses
and residents with much needed relief thanks to its long term impact of
reducing energy costs and stabilizing our energy resources. It’s refreshing to see
an innovative, fresh approach to tackling the long term energy crisis facing our
state.”
