Incumbents and candidates running in open seats earn NFIB’s support

LINCOLN, Neb., Sept. 29, 2020—The political action committee for Nebraska’s largest and leading small-business association today publicized its endorsements of candidates running for a seat in the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature.
Endorsements made by the NFIB Nebraska PAC were based either on an 80-percent-or-better, pro-small-business voting record on seven issues during the 2017-2018 session of the Legislature or on answers to questionnaires taken by nonincumbents.
“All the candidates we endorse have a fundamental appreciation of the fact that small businesses are not smaller versions of big businesses,” said Bob Hallstrom, Nebraska state director for NFIB. “Pro-business policies are not the same fit for every business. During the cut-and-thrust of debate and deliberation, our endorsees will take a second to consider how a proposal might affect small business, and that second could make a huge difference in a rule, regulation, or tax.”
