WASHINGTON, D.C., April 4, 2018–NFIB, the nation’s leading small business group, is endorsing Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. NFIB cited Congressman Bacon’s strong support of small-business issues in its endorsement.

“Congressman Bacon has been a staunch supporter of small business during his time in the U.S. House of Representatives,” said NFIB Nebraska State Director Bob Hallstrom. “He lent a vital voice in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s passage. If re-elected, he will remain an advocate for tax reform and is committed to helping alleviate other challenges that small businesses face. We are proud to endorse Congressman Bacon for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives on behalf of our Nebraska small business members.”

Congressman Bacon has demonstrated a solid voting record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, earning a 100 percent rating so far from NFIB. The list of votes is available here. Bacon is a member of the Congressional Small Business Caucus.

“I’m proud to receive the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business and the small business community. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy! I’m an advocate for tax reform, regulatory restraint, and fixing the individual health care market that is hurting small businesses. We are in the midst of a thriving economy thanks to recent policies and the hard work of small-business owners across Nebraska and the nation. I appreciate NFIB’s efforts in creating a better climate for small businesses to succeed and thrive,” said Congressman Bacon.

“Congressman Bacon is the kind of small business advocate that Nebraska needs,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “Bacon has earned a 100 percent voting record so far, and we believe that he will continue to fight for small businesses in Nebraska and across the country if re-elected.”

NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Congressman Bacon’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Nebraska will work hard to keep Congressman Bacon in the U.S. House.
