BOISE, Idaho, Sept. 23, 2020—The political action arm for Idaho’s voice of small business today announced its endorsed candidates for the Idaho State Senate and Idaho House of Representatives.
“Every candidate claims to be a friend of small business, but we can’t rely on words alone, so we base our endorsements for incumbents on their voting records and carefully vet challengers and candidates running in open seats on their responses to our questionnaire,” said Suzanne Budge, Idaho state director for NFIB.
The endorsements announced today were made by the NFIB ID PAC and for incumbents based on a 70-percent-or-better, pro-small-business voting record on seven bills during the 2019 and 2020 sessions of the Idaho Legislature, and on one issue specific to the Senate. Forty-nine incumbents had perfect, 100 percent voting record scores. Scores on the questionnaire submitted by candidates running in open seats and challengers ranged from 80 percent to 100 percent.
