NFIB North Carolina PAC Endorses Dan Forest for Governor

Date: October 01, 2020

The NFIB North Carolina PAC has endorsed Dan Forest for governor. The political action committee is comprised exclusively of NFIB members in North Carolina, and its endorsement is based on the candidate’s record and a survey of NFIB members throughout the state.

“The choice for governor has never been clearer,” NFIB State Director Gregg Thompson said. “Our members support the candidates who support small business, and as lieutenant governor, Dan Forest has shown us that he truly understands the issues that matter to North Carolina’s small business community.

“Dan Forest recognizes the challenges facing our small, family businesses and their employees in their fight to survive and grow,” Thompson said. “As lieutenant governor, he has served as president of the state Senate, where he has championed efforts to reduce taxes, ease burdensome regulations on small business and help clear a path so small businesses can safely reopen after the COVID-19 closings, reconnect with their customers, and put people back to work.

“Our members are grateful for Dan Forest’s leadership in these difficult times, which is why I’m proud to announce that the NFIB North Carolina PAC has endorsed him for governor,” Thompson said.

Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Forest’s campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to vote.
