TRENTON (September 27, 2017): The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), New Jersey’s leading advocate for small business owners in the state, announced their endorsement of Ileana Schirmer for Senate in the 14th Legislative District today. The district consists of towns located in Mercer and Middlesex counties.
“It is our privilege to endorse Ileana Schirmer for the New Jersey Senate. With her experience of owning and operating a small business, Ileana possesses a unique knowledge base that will allow her to advocate for the small business community as a State Senator,” said NFIB New Jersey State Director, Laurie Ehlbeck. “Our members would be fortunate to have her in Trenton to join forces with fellow lawmakers committed to making a difference for hard-working small business owners.”
The endorsement comes from the NFIB NJ PAC, the organization’s political action committee. The PAC endorses leaders that have demonstrated a willingness to stand up for New Jersey small business owners, thereby protecting the families, employees, and communities that depend on them. Schirmer’s endorsement was based on a candidate questionnaire that she recently submitted.
