House District 23B candidate a strong supporter of small business
ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 5, 2018—The political action committee of Minnesota’s most influential small-business group, the National Federation of Independent Business, today, enthusiastically endorsed Jeremy Munson in the February 12 special election for House District 23B.
“He scored a perfect 100 percent on NFIB’s candidate questionnaire,” said Mike Hickey, NFIB’s Minnesota state director speaking for NFIB Minnesota PAC, which made the endorsement. “In a high-tax state with a business climate that’s less than desirable, his voice is really needed in St. Paul.”
As a small-business owner and business consultant, Munson, who lives in Lake Crystal, would bring valuable expertise on the engine of Minnesota’s economy, according to Hickey.
“He supports small business on many key issues, including financing state government within its current resources, conforming to or significantly increasing Minnesota’s estate tax exemption so it is much closer to the federal government’s, and significantly reducing business property taxes for small businesses,” said Hickey.
Celebrating its 75th anniversary, the National Federation of Independent Business is the Voice of Small Business, taking the message from Main Street to the halls of Congress and all 50 state legislatures. NFIB annually surveys its members on state and federal issues vital to their survival as America’s economic engine and biggest creator of jobs. NFIB’s educational mission is to remind policymakers that small businesses are not smaller versions of bigger businesses; they have very different challenges in remaining open.
