Early Voting in Louisiana Begins Friday

Date: October 13, 2020

Early voting in Louisiana begins Friday, Oct. 16. It runs through Tuesday, Oct. 27, except for Sundays. Early voting sites will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mail-in voting already is underway. Election Day is Nov. 3.

Voters who want to vote early for any election may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters Office or other designated locations.

Visit the Secretary of State’s voter portal for a detailed list of early voting locations in your parish.

Voter ID required

When you go vote, you will be asked to provide either a photo ID or signature on a voter affidavit. You may use a Louisiana driver’s license, a Louisiana special ID card, a U.S. military ID card that contains your name and photo, or other generally recognized picture identification card that has your name and signature.
