Chris Carr Earns Small Business Endorsement in Attorney General's Race

Date: October 02, 2018

NFIB State Director Nathan Humphrey said today that the NFIB Georgia PAC has endorsed Chris Carr for attorney general. The political action committee is comprised solely of NFIB members.

“Chris Carr is the clear choice for small business,” Humphrey said.

“Under his leadership, the Georgia attorney general’s office led a coalition of 11 states opposing the Obama administration’s overreaching Waters of the U.S. rule, which imposed unfair and impractical new regulations on our members and other businesses,” Humphrey said.

“As attorney general and, before that, as commissioner for Economic Development, Chris Carr has shown us that he understands the challenges facing Georgia’s small businesses,” Humphrey said. “Chris Carr is committed to maintaining an environment where small businesses can succeed and create jobs.

“That’s why I’m proud to announce the NFIB Georgia PAC’s endorsement of Chris Carr for attorney general,” he said.

“I’m incredibly proud of my record of job creation as Commissioner of Economic Development under Governor Nathan Deal,” Carr said. “As Attorney General, I believe that small and independent businesses will thrive if we keep a consistent and predictable regulatory environment in our state.

“NFIB is the voice for small and independent businesses in Georgia and around the country, and I am honored to have its support in the November election,” Carr said.

Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Carr’s campaign. Small-business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and make a point of recruiting other entrepreneurs, friends, and family members to support the small-business candidate.
