Six Democratic and Republican candidates for governor participated in a small-business candidate forum on Tuesday, April 17, in Atlanta. The forum, which was held at the historic Georgia Railroad Freight Depot, was hosted by NFIB, the Georgia Ready Mixed Concrete Association, the Georgia Association of Convenience Stores, and the Georgia Food Industry Association. Jim Galloway, a veteran political writer with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, served as moderator.

Stacey Abrams (Democrat), Casey Cagle (Republican), Stacey Evans (Democrat), Hunter Hill (Republican), and Clay Tippins (Republican) spoke one-on-one with Galloway about a host of issues affecting Georgians in general and small businesses in particular, including taxes, transportation, and workers’ compensation. Brian Kemp (Republican) could not attend but addressed the crowd of about 200 people by video.
In their closing remarks, the candidates explained why they believe they would be the best choice for governor.
