The National Federation of Independent Business, North Carolina’s leading small business association, today said it has endorsed candidates in 67 state legislative general election races. The endorsements were made by NFIB North Carolina SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members. The general election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8.

“NFIB stands firmly with candidates who support small business,” said Gregg Thompson, state director of NFIB. “These candidates have consistently voted or have pledged to support small businesses on the issues that affect their ability to own, operate and grow their enterprises.”

NFIB’s endorsement is critical to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB has pledged it will activate its grassroots network on behalf of these campaigns. NFIB’s political support is based on an incumbent’s most recent NFIB voting record and a challenger’s responses on the NFIB candidate questionnaire.

NFIB is North Carolina’s leading small-business association, representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. To learn more, visit www.NFIB.com/NC and follow @NFIB_NC on Twitter.
