61 Legislative Candidates Earn Small Business Endorsement

Date: August 03, 2020

The NFIB Illinois PAC said today it has endorsed candidates in nine state Senate races and 52 House races. The political action committee is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.

“Our members support the candidates who support small businesses,” NFIB State Director Mark Grant said. “These candidates understand the challenges facing Illinois’s small businesses and will fight for lower taxes and sensible regulations and will be strong advocates for policies that enable small businesses to fully recover from the COVID-19 shutdown.”

The NFIB Illinois PAC’s endorsement is important to these campaigns. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB has pledged it will activate its grassroots network on behalf of these campaigns. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small-business issues.
