ROONEY ENDORSED BY NFIB FOR RE-ELECTION

Date: October 02, 2017

(TRENTON) October 2, 2017: The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) released its endorsement of Assemblyman Kevin Rooney in the 40th legislative district today. The area represents more than 220,000 people in Bergen, Essex, Morris, and Passaic counties.

“Since joining the Assembly last year, Mr. Rooney has supported the small business community and expressed a keen comprehension of the challenges faced by our members. They struggle daily to navigate a burdensome regulatory environment and overwhelming tax system in New Jersey,” according to Laurie Ehlbeck, NFIB NJ State Director. “We look forward to continuing the strong working relationship we have with the Assemblyman next year when he is reelected by his constituents in November.”

Rooney’s endorsement in the 40h district was announced by NFIB NJ PAC, the organization’s political action committee. The PAC endorses candidates that demonstrate a willingness to support New Jersey small business owners, thereby protecting the families, employees, and communities that depend on them.

“New Jersey employers suffer from having one of the worst business climates in the nation. We have to cut the red tape and regulations that raise the cost of expanding and investing in small businesses,” according to Assemblyman Rooney. “With lower taxes and less regulation, small businesses can thrive and create jobs for our residents.”
