[VIDEO] Small Business Wins Big on Election Day

Date: November 07, 2014

Six NFIB members have been elected to Congress, and NFIB-backed candidates won in key Senate and gubernatorial races.
Small
business supporters swept three of the most watched Senate races: Tom
Cotton in Arkansas
, Cory Gardner in Colorado and Joni Ernst in Iowa.
In
governor’s races, NFIB-backed candidates in 23 states won on Tuesday,
including Florida’s Rick Scott, Maryland’s Larry Hogan and Wisconsin’s
Scott Walker.
With Republicans now holding
majorities in both the House and the Senate, small business owners will
be looking for action to reign in government regulation, provide tax
relief and find sensible solutions to rising healthcare costs brought on
by Obamacare.
Each week, NFIB looks at the
issues affecting small business in Washington and around the country.
