Southern Fiber Worx Recognized as Georgia Small Business 'Rock Star'

Gov. Brian kemp commends small businesses in the state for their work.

A local small business, Southern Fiber Worx, was recognized by the by the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Entrepreneur and Small Business program. The Georgia business was among four others honored as the state’s Small Business Rock Star, according to the Cordele Dispatch.

Southern Fiber Worx is an information technology company with six employees that provides internet service to residences and businesses throughout Crisp County, according to their website.

The award was created to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible impact small businesses in Georgia have on their local communities.The businesses that were honored demonstrated their “Rock Star” attributes in a number of ways including, increases in revenue, sales, exporting, product lines, job creation and overall economic impact.

As part of the celebration of these small business success stories, Gov. Brian Kemp declared March 18-22 Small Business Week in Georgia.

“Georgia’s small businesses are the driving force behind our successful economy and create jobs across our state – no matter the zip code. Congratulations to the 2019 Small Business ROCK STARS on your achievements, and thank you for calling Georgia home,” Kemp said.
