SMALL BUSINESS RESPONSE TO HOLCOMBS STATE OF THE STATE
INDIANAPOLIS (January 17, 2017): In response to tonight’s State of the State by Governor Holcomb, the following statement may be attributed to the Indiana state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, Barbara Quandt Underwood:
Hearing Governor Holcomb say that the heart and soul of our economy is small business is truly music to our members ears. He demonstrated tonight that he will lead by encouraging fiscal discipline at the state level. Doing so provides certainty and predictability for the small business community and when small business owners are confident, jobs are created.
Indiana truly is a wonderful place to do business and under the Governor’s leadership, we hope to continue to set a shining example to other state’s about how to make a state economy work for small employers.
