The NFIB Michigan Leadership Council is made up of small business owners that provide direct NFIB membership input and counsel into the public policy, programs, and membership development agenda of NFIB. Members of the Leadership Council serve in an advisory capacity on policy as NFIB’s positions on issues are determined by a vote of the members on federal and state ballots – surveys.
Founded in 1943, the mission of NFIB is to promote and protect the right of small business to own, operate, and grow. The grass roots and non-profit organization has almost 10,000 small business members in Michigan and 300,000 members nationwide.
“We are excited to have Rod serving on the Leadership Council” said Charlie Owens, Michigan State Director for NFIB. “All of our small business members will benefit from his leadership and insight as we tackle the difficult issues facing small business in Michigan.”
