The report ranks states across 26 key indicators of startup success.
According to Wallethub’s 2019 “Best & Worst States to Start a Business” report, Oregon was ranked No. 26. The state ranked 19th for business environment, 13th for access to resources, and 33rd for business costs.
To determine rankings, Wallethub compared the 50 states across 26 key indicators of startup success to determine the most fertile grounds in which to launch and grow an enterprise.
The 10 best states to start a business are: Texas, Utah, Georgia, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Florida, Arizona, California, Montana, and Colorado. The 10 worst states to start a business are: Rhode Island, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Hawaii, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Vermont, New York, and West Virginia.
