NFIB/Florida Releases Bill to Lower Workers' Comp Rates

Date: February 15, 2017

NFIB/Florida, along with the Associated Industries of Florida, released a 12-page bill that would lower the state’s workers’ comp rates.

The proposal comes on the heels of two Florida Supreme Court rulings last year that ignited a 14.5 percent hike in workers’ comp rates. According to Florida Politics, the bill would eliminate the limits on attorney fees, proposing that injured workers would be responsible for paying their attorney fees.
