State received the highest grade for eighth straight year.

Michigan’s Manufacturers See Another Record Year

When it comes to its manufacturing environment,
Michigan is still tops.

Among Michiganders, earnings from manufacturing
total $42,186,011,000, according to the report.

Conexus Indiana’s 2016 Manufacturing &
Logistics Report Card awarded Michigan the highest grade among its midwestern
neighbors, joined by Indiana, which also received an A.

The state received its lowest grade, a D, for
its human capital. It also received a C+ for its tax climate, and a C- for its
expected fiscal liability gap, a measure of its unfunded liability per capita
and percentage of GDP, average benefits, and bond rankings.
