In a campaign stop in Eau Claire, Governor Scott Walker thanked Wisconsin’s Main Street for helping grow the state economy, reports the Leader-Telegram.
With the state’s unemployment rate remaining steady at 3 percent since August, Gov. Walker emphasized the number of jobs currently available within the cheese state.
“I’ve tried to look out for small businesses in the state,” Walker said while visiting Eau Claire. “This year, more people are employed in Wisconsin than ever before. There are career opportunities abundant in this state.”
NFIB has endorsed Gov. Walker for re-election, calling him a “true champion of small business.”
“[As a legislator], he had one of the most consistent records of supporting small business,” says NFIB State Director in Wisconsin Bill G. Smith. “From the moment he was sworn in [as governor], he made small businesses a top priority of his administration.”
