NFIB Statement on End of SC 'Work-or-Home' Order

Date: May 01, 2020

NFIB State Director Ben Homeyer released the following statement today in response to Gov. Henry McMaster’s decision to lift the “work-or-home” executive order beginning Monday, May 4:

“Our members are relieved that Governor McMaster is taking the first steps toward restarting South Carolina’s economy. The past several weeks devastated South Carolina’s small businesses, so restaurants welcome the chance to begin the process of reopening and engaging with their customers while following the recommended guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

“NFIB will continue to work closely with the AccelerateSC task force to help come up with a solution that keeps people safe while allowing people to get back to work.”
