NFIB Oregon in the News

State Director Anthony Smith quoted in national media outlets

From time to time, the media will seek the opinions of NFIB because they know it to be the Voice of Small Business. Such was the case last week when Bloomberg wanted the opinion of Main Street on Gov. Kate Brown’s putting a pause on business re-openings.

“Due to the lateness of the announcement last night I hope not a lot of businesses have been ramping up, bringing employees back or buying inventory—things that come with costs,” NFIB Oregon State Director Anthony Smith told a reporter from Bloomberg for a story that also ran in The Washington Post. “That could certainly cause some additional financial hardships.”

Salem Business Journal

The national media aren’t the only ones in search of small businesses’ side of the story. The Salem Business Journal has been kind enough to offer Smith a regular monthly column to give its readers the view from Main Street.
