Maryland Division of Labor & Industry Announces June Webinar Wednesdays

Division of Labor & Industry announced that they will be hosting a series of live webinars this month that may be helpful for small business owners. They will cover Maryland wage and hour laws, prevailing wage, worker classification, and Maryland Occupational Safety and Health.

The sessions will be approximately two hours long. Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and HR Certification Institute (HRCI) credits are available for eligible participants.

This workshop covers what constitutes a prevailing wage project, how prevailing wages projects are determined, and how to submit certified payroll reports. This session also includes a review of the Maryland Worker Classification Law and information about the Workplace Fraud Act.

Wage and Hour Laws; Sick & Safe Leave

This workshop covers services offered by the Employee Standards Service. It includes Wage and Hour laws and provides information on laws concerning payment of wages and time off, and clarifies the Maryland Sick & Safe Leave Act.
