Results show half not surviving more than two months without help

CHEYENNE, Wyo., April 2, 2020—From Tony Gagliardi, Wyoming state director for NFIB, on the release of its poll showing 92 percent of small-business owners negatively affected by the coronavirus and about half of small employers saying they can survive for no more than two months, and about one-third believing they can remain operational for 3-6 months.
“Like tearing a band aid off a wound, it’s going to hurt. But then the healing begins. The situation caused by COVID-19 has caused serious pain to small-business owners, and it will take time for the pain to stop. But look back to the financial crisis and one can see the proof that small business is the engine pulling the train to recovery–and will do so again. The only thing small-business owners are asking for are policy solutions that make it possible for Main Street to prosper once again.”
