Indiana Small Business Thanks Legislators for Passing Important Tax Reform

Date: April 22, 2021

Newly Passed Legislation Will Reduce Burdens For Small Business

NFIB, or the National Federation of Independent Business in Indiana, is voicing their support of the legislature passing SB 336, the Business Personal Property Tax Reform bill, that gives small business owners a much-needed tax break during a time they are trying to recover from the COVID 19 pandemic: a health and economic crisis here in Indiana.

SB 366, or the Business Personal Property Tax Exemption, would allow 52,000 small businesses in Indiana to qualify for a personal property tax exemption.

“Small business owners today are expressing thanks to the legislature for passing this bill, which will help our struggling small business owners across Indiana,” said Barbara Quandt, Senior State Director for NFIB. “Everyone knows that the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging, if not detrimental to job creators in Indiana. This legislation would give our struggling small business owners one more reason to keep their doors open and live towards another day.”
