NFIB PAC Makes Three Final Legislative Endorsements

Date: September 29, 2020

Senate and House candidates from Arapahoe, Jefferson counties get small business’ backing

DENVER, Sept. 29, 2020—The political action committee for Colorado’s leading small-business association today announced its endorsements of two more candidates for the Colorado House of Representatives and one more for the Colorado Senate.

“The announcements today conclude our endorsement process,” said Tony Gagliardi, NFIB Colorado state director, speaking for the NFIB CO PAC, which made the endorsements. “Now, we can shift our campaign efforts to get all our endorsed candidates elected to high gear.”

Endorsements made by the NFIB CO PAC are based on responses to questionnaires sent to candidates running for open seats or challengers to incumbents. Endorsements of incumbent legislators are based on their small-business voting record during the 2019-2020 session of the Colorado General Assembly.

Today’s endorsements went to:

  • Vanessa DeMott running for the open House District 29 seat, which includes the Jefferson County communities of Arvada and Westminster.
  • Caroline Cornell in her House District 37 challenge to incumbent Tom Sullivan. The district includes the Arapahoe County communities of Aurora, Centennial, Cherry Creek, Dove Valley, and Inverness.
  • Lynn Gerber in her Senate District 19 challenge to incumbent Rachel Zenzinger. The district includes most of Arvada and Westminster in Jefferson County.
