DENVER, Colo., July 24, 2018—When it came time to support Colorado small businesses indeed, not just in political rhetoric, 31 Colorado lawmakers proved people of their word, according to voting records announced today by NFIB Colorado.

At the end of each session of the Colorado General Assembly, NFIB Colorado, the voice of the state’s small-business owners, releases voting records for all state lawmakers on issues vital to the ability of its members to own, operate, and grow their enterprises. For the 2017-2018 session, NFIB ranked senators on five floor votes they took and representatives on seven floor votes taken in their chamber. Only three bills of small-business concern made it from one legislative body to the other.

“Ask any legislator if he or she is a friend of small business and every one of them will say yes, but our voting records separate faithful friends from fake ones,” said Tony Gagliardi, Colorado state director for NFIB. “The 31 members we are sending thank-you letters have been unwavering and steadfast in their support of small business and they have the record to prove it.”

A list of the bills and a brief description of each can be read here. NFIB’s thank-you letters are being sent to:
