A new report by Kabbage shows that small businesses in all 50 states saw a growth in revenue in 2019.

A new report by Kabbage shows that small businesses in all 50 states saw a growth in revenue in 2019. The Kabbage Small Business Revenue Index uses real-time data from the 2 million live data connections it maintains from more than 200,000 small businesses to report the ongoing revenue performance of small businesses across America.

In Ohio, there was a 23.36 percent increase in revenue growth of businesses in 2019, compared to an overall 19.34 percent increase in the Kabbage Small Business Revenue Index. Since December 2016, the state has seen a 61.96 percent increase in revenue growth of businesses.

“Despite a slight slowdown in 2019, likely due to the government shutdown earlier this year and escalating tariffs, overall, the small business economy is roaring ahead with no sign of a near term recession,” said NFIB’s Director of Research and Policy Analysis Holly Wade.
