Retired firefighter and Murrieta councilmember's experience “hits on all cylinders” and is sorely needed in the Legislature
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 12, 2020—The political action committee for California’s leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of Kelly Seyarto for the 67th State Assembly District seat.
“Kelly Seyarto has the type of experience that hits on all cylinders and is needed now more than ever before in the Legislature,” said John Kabateck, California state director for NFIB. “He has political and public policy experience as mayor of Murrieta, a 35-year career as a firefighter — expertise that could not be more timely for the Golden State — history as a small business owner himself, and the endorsement of his predecessor, whose record on small business alone would be enough for us. Our state would be well served if more Kelly Seyartos ran for office.”
The endorsement of Seyarto was made by the NFIB CA PAC and based on responses to a questionnaire on small-business issues. “We appreciated his opponent, Jerry Carlos, returning our questionnaire, but his responses in many areas raised numerous concerns about his priorities for Main Street job creators,” said Kabateck.
The 67th Assembly District includes the Riverside County communities of Canyon Lake, East Hemet, El Sobrante, French Valley, Good Hope, more than a third of Hemet, Homeland, Lake Elsinore, Lake Matthews, Lakeland Village, Menifee, Murrieta, Nuevo, Temescal Valley, Wildomar, and Woodcrest.
