Antelope Valley assemblyman scored 83 percent on NFIB voting record
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 27, 2020—The political action committee for California’s leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of Assemblyman Tom Lackey for reelection to his 36th District seat.
“Stellar representatives like Assemblyman Lackey give small-business owners comfort in knowing there are elected officials who have not, and will not, lose sight of the paramount importance Main Street enterprises are to the recovery of the American economy,” said John Kabateck, California state director for NFIB. “He fundamentally understands small businesses are not smaller versions of big businesses and has always worked and voted accordingly. We will need more representatives like Assemblyman Lackey if our state and nation are to recover quickly.”
The endorsement of Lackey was made by the NFIB CA PAC and based on six votes taken in the first half of the 2019-2020 session. A minimum 70% was needed for endorsement consideration. Lackey scored 83 percent.
Lackey represents parts of Kern, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties, including the communities of Lancaster, Palmdale, California City, Rosamond, Quartz Hill, Lake Los Angeles, Mojave, Acton, and Pearlblossom.
