Former Santee mayor scored 83 percent on NFIB’s voting record
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 21, 2020—The political action committee for California’s leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of state Assemblyman Randy Voepel for re-election to his 71st District seat.
“In this time of economic turmoil, having effective, dependable champions of small business in the Legislature is a real plus for the Main Street enterprises of California that will lead our state to its economic recovery, and Assemblyman Randy Voepel is such a leader,” said John Kabateck, California state director for NFIB. “This Navy veteran is truly a Top Gun for small business.”
The endorsement of Voepel was made by the NFIB CA PAC and based on six votes taken in the first half of the 2019-2020 session. A minimum of 70% was needed for endorsement consideration. Voepel had 83 percent.
Voepel represents parts of two counties. In Riverside County, his district takes in the communities of Aguanga, Anza, Fern Valley, Idyllwild, Mountain Center, Pine Cove, Pinyon Pines, Sage, and Valle Vista. In San Diego County, he represents the communities of Alpine, Borrego Springs, Descanso, El Cajon, Eucalyptus Hills, Harbison Canyon, Jacumba Hot Springs, Jamul, Julian, La Prensa (partial), Lakeside, Ramona, Rancho San Diego, San Diego County Estates, Santee, Spring Valley, and Winter Gardens.
