State Treasurer points to resources, webinar has the latest on EIDL, PPP loans

SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 13, 2020—The state’s leading small-business association continued its breakneck speed last week to get its members the very latest information on help with the COVID-19 crisis.
- On Friday, Beth Milito of the NFIB Small Business Legal Center and Holly Wade of the NFIB Research Foundation hosted the fifth webinar on the federal government’s response to the coronavirus as it relates to small business. Milito opened the one-hour webinar with the very latest updates and guidance on Economic Injury Disaster Loans and the Paycheck Protection Program Loans. At the 20:07 mark of the webinar, Wade answers the top 10 questions NFIB members have been asking.
- On Thursday, NFIB released its latest poll showing 70 Percent of Small Businesses Applied for PPP Loans & Nearly Half Applied for EIDL. Nearly two-in-three successfully submitted PPPL applications, but none have received EIDL emergency grants
- On Wednesday, California State Treasurer Fiona Ma held an exclusive conference call with NFIB California members to discuss state resources available to them to cope with the coronavirus crisis.
“It was only natural NFIB would become the central resource for small-business news on the coronavirus across the nation,” said John Kabateck. “We’ve been the voice of small business for 77 years.
