PHOENIX, Feb. 10, 2020—NFIB members from around Arizona will gather at the State Capitol, Thursday, February 13, for their annual Small Business Day at the Capitol event.

“The timing of the event couldn’t be better for one agenda item of ours and that is passage of Senate Bill 1449, which would halt product liability lawsuits against sellers who had no role in the manufacturing of a product,” said Chad Heinrich, NFIB’s Arizona state director.

Senate Majority Leader Rick Gray, State House Majority Leader Warren Peterson, and Katie Fischer, director of legislative affairs for Gov. Doug Ducey, will apprise small-business owners of the progress of legislation helpful and harmful to the operation of their enterprises.

Marina DeWit from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy and Delia Gomez from the SBA’s Phoenix office will speak at the luncheon. The costs to attend the day’s program are $25 per person for NFIB members and their guests and $30 per person for non-members.

Reservations are required and can be made here. The media are invited to attend free of charge and welcome to join small-business owners for lunch.
