WASHINGTON, D.C., March 28, 2018 – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is endorsing Debbie Lesko for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District. Lesko has proven her commitment to pro-small-business issues throughout her career in the Arizona State Legislature.

“Debbie Lesko has a proven record of standing up for small businesses across Arizona,” said NFIB Arizona State Director Farrell Quinlan. “NFIB Arizona PAC endorsed Lesko every time she has appeared on the ballot for the Arizona House and Arizona Senate, and we are proud to endorse her today for the United States House of Representatives. We are confident that she will continue to be a champion for small businesses in Arizona and throughout the country if elected to the U.S. House.”

Lesko has a demonstrated record of supporting the small business community consistently throughout her time in the Arizona State Legislature by earning the NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award, being named Legislator of the Year by NFIB Arizona, and being a champion for tax reform at the state level.

“Small business is the backbone of the West Valley’s economy and I’m so proud to have the support of NFIB,” said Lesko. “I will be a strong advocate for small business in Congress by rolling back burdensome regulations and reducing taxes.”

Prior to serving in the Arizona Senate, Lesko was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. She served previously as the Senate President Pro-Tempore, chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, and a member of the Health and Rules committees.

“As a state legislator with a 100 percent lifetime NFIB voting record, Debbie Lesko understands the challenges that small businesses face every day,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “We know that, if elected, she will continue to fight to protect small business tax cuts, promote more affordable and flexible healthcare options, and eliminate onerous regulations that hurt small businesses.”

NFIB is the nation’s leading representative of small-business owners. Debbie Lesko’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small-business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Arizona will work hard to send Debbie Lesko to the United States House of Representatives.
