Lawmakers scrambling to assemble state budget. No movement this week on NFIB-tracked bills
State Director Denny DeWitt reports from Juneau on the small-business agenda for the legislative week ending May 5
The Alaska Legislature is moving, we think, toward adjournment. There is little public activity but significant behind the scene meetings trying to get the compromises needed to get the budget passed and adjourn by the state constitutional limit of 121 days, which will occur May 16. NFIB is hoping lawmakers finish before that date.
None of the NFIB-tracked bills saw action this week
