Tallahassee, FL, September 26, 2018 — NFIB, the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, today announced its full support and endorsement of Matt Caldwell for Agriculture Commissioner. NFIB announced the endorsement today during a roundtable meeting with small business leaders at NFIB member business Mixon Fruit Farms in Bradenton.
“Matt Caldwell’s commitment to jobs and our economy make him the best choice for small business owners in the race for Agriculture Commissioner,” said NFIB’s Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle. “During his time in the Florida Legislature, Caldwell supported pro-business policies and was dedicated to cutting taxes to help entrepreneurs grow and prosper. He understands the role small businesses play in our economy and we’re confident he will continue to support small business as Agriculture Commissioner.”
The endorsement was made by the NFIB Florida PAC, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.

Commissioner should be doing all across the state for the next four years,” said Caldwell. “We need proven, principled leadership to stand up for and defend our farmers, consumers, workers, and small business owners. With my experience and thorough understanding of the complex issues that face our state, I will put people and not politics first to win for Florida.”
NFIB is the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, with nearly 10,000 small business owner members in Florida. The NFIB Florida PAC’s endorsement is significant in an important election year. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on candidates’ positions and records on small-business issues.
