Help NFIB Advocate on Your Behalf

Date: September 04, 2019

Now that September is here, it’s the perfect time for a reminder of the importance of voting the federal member ballot you recently should have received. It asks for your input on several pressing policy issues.

Should Congress increase payroll taxes to fund family leave? What should we do about the estate tax? Do we need a single-payer health insurance system? Should employers be forced to share private employee information with unions so they can organize? Should employers be prevented from asking job applicants about their wage and salary history?

Your answers to these questions tell us precisely where you want NFIB to concentrate its efforts. Having our policy positions determined by members is what makes NFIB unique.

Seventy-six years ago, NFIB’s founder recognized that independent business owners can think for themselves. You should be telling us how NFIB can work for you. Not the other way around. That’s why our ballot gives every member an equal say in how our organization is run — no matter the size of your business.

This has proved to be a winning formula. NFIB is the voice of small business because it speaks loudly and clearly on behalf of its membership. It’s a huge advantage for us when we stand up for small business-friendly policies in the halls of Congress and all 50 state capitals. Lawmakers have no doubt that our policy positions reflect the views of hundreds of thousands of small business owners around the country.

So take a few minutes and cast your ballot if you haven’t yet done so. You can vote right from your iPhone or Android phone if you download the new NFIB Engage app from the Apple app store or Google Play. You can also vote online at NFIB.com/VoteMyBallot, or send it in via fax to 866-753-9085.

We look forward to hearing from you.
