What You Missed at Tennessee's Small Business Day at the Capitol

Date: February 14, 2017

Greetings!

You made a great impression!

Once again, NFIB/Tennessee’s annual Small Business Day at the Capitol was a great success. On Feb. 7, small business leaders across Tennessee joined our friends with the Tennessee Grocers & Convenience Store Association to engage their legislators. We heard from two leaders in new positions—Lt. Gov. Randy McNally (Oak Ridge) and House Majority Leader Glen Casada (Franklin).

House Speaker Beth Harwell from Nashville also addressed the groups. We, and they, learned a great deal during the exchanges. Keep an eye on several issues this session, including ongoing fixes to our state’s new online unemployment system for employers and employees, as well as results of the transportation funding/gas tax survey we are set to issue at the time of this writing. Thanks to all who replied and making your voice heard! Please don’t hesitate to contact me anytime the Tennessee team can be of service.
