A Letter From NFIB/Pennsylvania's State Director

Date: January 12, 2015

Make your voice heard.

Dear NFIB Pennsylvania Member:

Thank you for your continued membership with NFIB. It is a privilege to represent you in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. The stakes for small business in 2015 could not be higher. Our new governor has proposed increasing the minimum wage, requiring paid leave for all workers and a graduated income tax. All of these proposals are likely to have a significant impact on small businesses in the Commonwealth and we will be fighting against their implementation. Our governor delivered an inaugural address on Jan. 20, and will make his budget address on March 3.

Our mission at NFIB is to promote and protect our members’ right to own, operate and grow their business. On Tuesday, Jan. 27, beginning at 11 a.m, for example, you can attend a workers’ comp webinar with NFIB’s national Legal Center attorney Elizabeth Milito. Sign up here. That’s why we will be tracking all of the bills and regulations at the state and federal level that could create roadblocks to that growth. Through these emails we will keep you informed on our progress.

Sincerely,

Kevin Shivers, Executive State Director, NFIB, Pa.
