Rep. Carpenter Presented With Guardian of Small Business Award

Date: April 26, 2019

NFIB, the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, recognized Rep. Kasey Carpenter as a Guardian of Small Business today as part of its annual Georgia Small Business Day luncheon in Atlanta.

The Guardian of Small Business Award is the most prestigious honor that NFIB bestows on members of the legislature in recognition of their efforts to support small business issues. Carpenter, a restaurant and brewpub owner from Dalton and NFIB member, represents the 4th District.

“Representative Carpenter is a strong and consistent voice for Georgia’s small businesses,” said Nathan Humphrey, NFIB’s state director for Georgia. Carpenter sponsored House Bill 353, the staged-accident insurance fraud bill, and supported NFIB’s position on critical issues such as tax relief and legal reform.

“Kasey Carpenter has proven time after time that he understands the challenges facing Georgia’s job creators and that he will do everything he can to promote and protect their right to own, operate, and grow their small businesses,” Humphrey said. “That’s why I’m proud to present Representative Carpenter with the 2019 Guardian of Small Business Award.”
