Will a Wave of Tech Jobs Bring More Qualified Talents to Wisconsin?

Date: December 04, 2018

Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Boston, Austin, New York. While these may be the big names in tech, businesses in Wisconsin are hoping the state’s growing tech and information technology (IT) market will keep talent in the Midwest, reports the Green Bay Press Gazette.

According to a recent study by technology trade association CompTIA, Madison was ranked the twelfth best place for IT professionals to live and work, with a 9 percent expected growth in IT jobs over the next five years. But while jobs are also expected to grow, a total of 11,059 IT job listings were posted between August 2017 and July 2018—marking a growing awareness of the state’s tech opportunities.

Jobs currently available run the tech spectrum and include developers for websites, mobile devices, user support, and equipment and software professionals.
