A new report by Kabbage shows that small businesses in all 50 states saw a growth in revenue in 2019. The Kabbage Small Business Revenue Index uses real-time data from the 2 million live data connections it maintains from more than 200,000 small businesses to report the ongoing revenue performance of small businesses across America.

In Georgia, there was an 18.93 percent increase in revenue growth of businesses in 2019, compared to an overall 19.34 percent increase in the Kabbage Small Business Revenue Index. Since December 2016, the state has seen a 64.83  percent increase in revenue growth of businesses.

Retail businesses saw an overall 45.23 percent increase in revenue growth since December 2016, while manufacturing saw a 54.42 percent increase in revenue growth.

“Despite a slight slowdown in 2019, likely due to the government shutdown earlier this year and escalating tariffs, overall, the small business economy is roaring ahead with no sign of a near term recession,” said NFIB’s Director of Research and Policy Analysis Holly Wade.
