NFIB has heard from you, small business owners across the country, on the double standards and hypocrisy as state and local governments mandate business closures and restrictions.
If your business has been shut down or restricted by state or local officials in a way that’s hypocritical and demonstrates double standards putting small businesses at a disadvantage, we want to hear from you.
NFIB is advocating for small business interests in all 50 state capitals and Washington, DC. Your story can help NFIB show your governor and state legislators how small businesses, your employees, customers, or community are suffering as a result of closures and restrictions.
Consider recording a video for NFIB that tells us what your business is going through and how it’s affecting your employees, customers or community.
Some suggestions for your video:
- Keep videos short, around 15-20 seconds
- Describe the specific troubles you have had, the double standards or hypocrisy of your closures or restrictions
- Share what you would like your legislature to do to improve the situation
- Avoid naming or describing specific non-elected officials
- Use appropriate language
Please send your video to [email protected] along with your name, phone number, business, city, and state in your email. When you send a video, please complete the video release form here. If you have any questions or problems, just email us.
See the double standards imposed on one California business owner and hear from NFIB President Brad Close in a recent opinion piece: America’s small businesses are being decimated, they need support not double standards and shutdowns.
